I wrote a post on Facebook about the Kirk shooting. It barely touched on Kirk or the shooting itself, it was more focused on the aftermath and political implications. It in no way condoned violence, and didn't even do the "Kirk didn't deserve to die, but he sucked in life" thing a lot of people are catching shit for. It was 99% focused on other (still living) people. I had a friend of mine message me to say she would have "liked" the post, but she was afraid of getting fired. For a single "like" on a non-inflammatory post on the private profile of a friend that does not live in her community. So that's the state of free speech in this country right now.
