    I was taken to a Grateful Dead concert at Winterland in San Francisco in late summer 1977. Who was off to the side of the stage but a very tall red head Bill Walton. Not really being a Grateful Dead fan I thought the concert was a bit boring. Mr. Walton looked to be having the time of his life. I know being the geezer in this forum people will not believe me, but when Bill Walton was healthy (about 2 years out of a 9 year career) He was as good a center as ever was. If he could have played now, he would simply own the league. His fundamentals, footwork and timing were second to no one. God made a perfect center, then gave him shit for feet just to torment him.
