I still have 11 left, the most in the office, so far. Not too bad.

That dunk block reverse direction bounce pass dunk at the other end is my favorite moment of the tourney. That was so good. UCLA-Gonzaga in OT is just great.

That was such a good game. I love that Suggs had that block and then the final shot, too. Fantastic.

That game was fucking terrible to watch. Sharp contrast to the previous game. Maybe that OT sucked the life out of them, I don't know but what a snoozefest.

I guess I could have put this in the WDT, but I wasn't starting a new thread for this.

Antoine Davis is a great shooter. (NCAA, Division I Detroit Mercy) If you've seen him play or just ESPN highlights, he is smooooooth. He's got a quick release and can just drain it over and over beyond the arc.

But, him gunning for Pete Maravich's NCAA all time scoring record is interesting. He got an extra year of eligibility, like all college athletes during Covid 2020, so he's got 5 years of stats to Pistol Pete's 3 (Freshmen were not eligible back then). And, Maravich didn't have any 3-pointers, since that wasn't a thing when he played colllege. Davis has to average 39 points per game over his last 4 games to break it. It's fun to watch him shoot. He's only 6-1, and I think I read not one of his points has come from a dunk.

Fairleigh Dickinson upset over Perdue. Wow. Biggest ever. It was 16 over 1, but they had to play in from first four AND took Merrimack's spot. They won 4 games last year. Crazy times.

I have my alma mater, UConn, going to the Final 4. I doubt they'll take home the W, though. They just aren't polished enough.

Most NCAA uniforms these days have em strapped down or very covered. FAU gals had some nice V-neck cleavage action.

Are NCAA cheerleaders relevant, now that Barstool’s Instagram account is essentially running a “come on, be the next Olivia Dunne” playbook?

I think they can be. That's been an interesting result from the NIL rule changes. I don't know if the NCAA was just thinking about men, jersey sales and advertising contracts, but the fact that Livvy Dunne can weaponize her cuteness / sexiness into big dollars is awesome. If cheerleaders and dance teams get on that train, it will do far more for balancing out sports dollars than Title IX ever dreamed about. And, it's better, too, because the individual ladies get more money, not just the school. Plus . . . hot cheerleaders. Everybody wins.

It has been at least 20 years since a team west of the Mississippi has won a men's NCSS championship. As much as I would love SDSU to win, I just do not think they can.
