Season two of Happy! is finally on, it wasted no time diving balls-first into fucked-uppedness. The way this show mixes slapstick with graphic violence is phenomenal.

    Best Syfy show ever.

I haven’t seen season 1 at all, and my DVR fucked up and didn’t record all of season 2...but damn, I don’t laugh out loud at any show like I do when I watch Brockmire. The writing paired with his voice is so fucking funny.

Why not?! It's on Amazon Prime and it's free on IFC.com. (Ep 1.1 still available for another 4 days!)

I finally got around to Deadly Class, and it's kind of dark fun.
American Gods Season 2 lost me.
I gave up on Preacher pretty much at Season 2.

I'm looking forward to Good Omens and The Boys on Amazon, after GofT ends.

Anything else supposed to be able to take the Game of Thrones spot?

Into the Badlands just had it's series finale... too bad, too, because I enjoyed the show, for the most part. It was part fun kung-fu martial arts flick, part sci-fi/fantasy... whatever it was, I found it entertaining.

I hope that it lets the showrunners do something better moving forward.

The Chernobyl miniseries (so far) on HBO is excellent. It’s also a thoroughly depressing hour of TV.

The Doom Patrol is great. You will enjoy if you like comic book adaptation type shows. Really good character development and background stories. I thought it was going to be an xmen knockoff after the first episode but kept watching and love it the more I see. Highly recommend.

The second season of Fleabag just came out and I think it might be the most perfect 6 episodes of television I’ve ever watched. Low commitment since it’s 2 6-episode seasons, available on prime.

Now I’m finished it, The second season of Barry is twice as funny and awesome as the first. The episode “Ronny/Lilly” will go down as one of the funniest episodes of TV ever, and Hader directed it.

Also the TV version of What We Do In The Shadows is not only great, it’s possibly the greatest recreation of the decade. When I heard they were setting in America I groaned at the thought, the show “Episides” made fun of this trope. Knowing the original creators wrote and directed every episode adds to it god vibes. Like the movie, it’s a real hoot and it’s ten mini-movie episodes with some delightful cameos along the way.

Second season dropped about two weeks ago and holy shit just go watch it now everyone. It's Germany's Stranger Things but better. Also I just switched the language to German and put on English subtitles, which I like better than the dubbed version.

Everyone else: If you're going to do a time travel show, keep the plot simple. Time travel is really easy to mess up.
Dark: Fuck you, ever wanted three versions of the same character in the same time at the same time, all while three copies of a one of-a-kind object are in play? What if we made everything and your mother a bootstrap paradox (and I literally mean your mother)? What if we used the same time travel twist five fucking times and you fell for it every time because we wrote it so well? WHO LIKES TIME TRAVEL WITH PERMADEATH?! YOU WOULDN'T THINK IT WORKS BUT IT TOTALLY DOES.

In for any of that? Then fuck you, watch our show.

Just finished season 2 of Dark last night.

I have really enjoyed it, but definitely second Aetius on having it in German with English subtitles.

    I await season 3!

Son of Zorn is pretty funny. Nothing serious. It was on for a single season a couple years ago and was not renewed.
There's several familiar faces in the cast. Cheryl Hines (wife on Curb your Enthusiasm), Tim Meadows (SNL and a ton of comedies over the years like Coneheads, Step Brothers 2), Artemis Pebdani (Artemis on ASIP).
I've got a couple more episodes before I'm finished. One season was probably enough but I've enjoyed it so far. It's lighthearted and not a bad show to watch as your wind down at the end of the night.

Nice to see Julia Garner get the Emmy for Ozark. She deserved it. Jason Bateman getting a Director win was cool, too. Looking forward to Season 3.

Have they announced a date? Usually it’s around November. I’m looking forward to this season because it both will be during tourist season and they cut the dead weight of the show’s most idiotic villains.

I have not seen a date anywhere. Probably November, though. Maybe after El Camino?

Anyone else watching Succession on HBO? Probably one of the best written shows on right now.

Has anyone been watching Happy! ? I was slinking around Netflix last night and stumbled on this. To me it seems like the guys who made Crank got together with Tarantino, decided to make a show, got high and then decided to add a blue cartoon unicorn voiced by Patton Oswald just to shake things up. I watched the first episode, and I have to say I enjoyed it. It's gloriously fucked up.
