Yeah... when I got into IPSC with a .38 Super, store-bought was not really an option for long. If you do any kind of shooting, even a simple progressive reloader will pay for itself pretty fast. Sure, it takes a bit of time, but a couple nights a year and you've got a few thousand rounds piled up.

Yeah, when I bought mine, I didn't look that up.

I should have... first you have to find it, and then it's crazy expensive.

I ended up having to by it by the case just to get local suppliers to sell it to me because hardly anyone else was using it.

I'm usually with you on that, but I like the look of this... call me crazy. Having done a ton of hunting in the rain, that 45 red dot is really fucking handy. Sure, you can go open sights alone, but if you have a scope, I'm not against another option for when shit gets fogged up.

Saw some of his work on reddit a couple of weeks ago. Some pistol grips I believed. Saw the picture and was like that looks like kato's work, looked up at the user and it was him.

I think him and Todamus bailed around the same time. They were friends who seemed to go fishing together, so who knows. Too bad, really.

Katokoch did some work to a 10-22 that I won in a raffle a couple of years ago. He does damn nice work. Real nice guy too.

Just got my new CCW rig. Glock 19 gen 5.

The place I went had a range attached to it, so I got to try it out (the only glock I've shot before was the mini 43 gen 4). I was astounded by the improvement in the trigger on the newer gen 5, and I was sold.

Had them throw on some ameriglo sights because the stock field goal post was giving me a migraine just looking at it. Ordered a Concealment Express kydex holster and talon grips, both of which I already run and I'm just familiar and comfortable with them. Beyond the sights, which had to go, I intend to keep it stock, just because I think that the more you tinker with something the more you induce chances for failure. Absolutely beautiful handgun though. I mean, looks like shit, but shoots beautifully, which is all that really matters.

I also wonder why people customize pistols they intend to use defensively (either as a CCW or for home defense). God forbid it'd ever come to that, but in the event you had do, wouldn't having a pistol with, say, the punisher logo on the magazine not look good in court? Or even a ported slide, or a aftermarket barrel. Couldn't -- and more importantly, I guess, wouldn't? -- a defense attorney use all of that to prove intent? The stereotype of someone out looking to shoot somebody, to show off their gun (in the even of a brandishing case), looking to murder under the guise of defense?

Maybe I'm just being paranoid, but I don't like changing anything with a defensive weapon that I couldn't also easily defend in court.

I don’t know why anyone would choose a glock for their ccw but hey this world is a mysterious place.

Personal preference. It feels good in my hand, I can shoot it well, it will eat any and all practice ammo I put through it, and the lack of a manual safety (but their ultra reliable trigger/firing pin safeties) added up to me choosing it over other options.

Your CCW is a very personal decision. Some people carry .22s, some carry 44 magnums. All of them -- hopefully -- will go bang if they're ever needed. It's all about how comfortable the person feels with a particular weapons platform.

I view Glocks the same way I view 72 Chevelle’s, everybody’s got one. I don’t hate them, and some of the custom options look really nice, I’d just never own one.

My CCW is a FNS9 in an AlienGear Cloaktuck, I haven’t bought a pistol in a few years and this may be the year to try a different handgun.

I am most likely going to get a Canik TP9 just because the reviews are really good for a sub 400 pistol.

I may just say fuck it and get a FNX 45 but I don’t have the flexible income I had pre kids. 1000 bucks is steep.

I just put 50 rounds through my glock 19 at 7 and 10 yards and I'm in love.

I don't have the money or really the desire to have one of those $1k handguns. I'm sure they're better in some ways. I just figure if I ever get to the point where I can out-shoot the capabilities of a glock, then I'm good regardless.
