I got the uncharted package and picked up fifa 16, MGS5, and Battlefront. Man the hoops you jump through to download patches and updates and EA accounts for everything is ridiculous.

Ive never played the original Star Wars BattleFronts but Ive seen many middling reviews and I can't help but agree with them. Purdy game but zero depth. As far as depth of gameplay it feels like days of yore in a video arcade where a popular franchise was licensed to take your quarter complete with the stale popcorn and sticky hard worn carpet smell. No story or cohesion, just pick a game and go. Repetitive objectives and lame upgrades. The dog fighting flight missions are fun and Ive gotten into them. The game does have a good scale and immersive sights and sounds. 6/10

I thought this was a fantastic, and accurate review.

At least they let you play a match or level while the game loads onto your hard drive so that's a win I guess?

So my wife knows that I want a PS4 and has indicated she's going to get one for me for Christmas, but I need to pick out the right model/configuration. Anyone have any insight here? I know they updated the specs recently and there are all sorts of wacky bundles, etc.

I'm glad I waited so long to buy a PS3.

It turns out I just can't get into games the way I used to. I've actually built up quite a library of PS3 games and I just can't be assed to play them. At all.

I received 4 in the mail this week and not a single one has been played. (COD; Modern Warfare 2, GTA 4, God of War 3 & MLB; The Show 2013....Just under $5 + shipping for all 4)

The fact that I don't want to vicariously shoot shit, beat up hookers, or play baseball depresses me.

GTA 4 was underwhelming to me and the controls with gun aiming were frustrating as shit.

Get yourself red dead redemption. I bet it's right up your alley.

Yeah I just got a PS4 and I still haven't played through MGS4 and MGS Rising which I bought over a year ago in preparation of MGS5.

After looking at the trailer, you're right. I just ordered it.

You can tie women to the railroad tracks. You can kill animals. You can take over Mexican villages. And the story is also compelling.

For RPG lovers, PS4 is going to start bringing back PS2 games to run for 5-15 bucks, one of those games is Rogue Galaxy. It is one of the most underrated RPGs of that time and came out right as the PS3 buzz was ramping up so it didn't get much hype. All the reviews for it were high and it has a good 80 hours worth of play in it. The story is fun, the characters are fun and the gameplay is the fucking shit.

Has anyone played Watchdogs? Is there a goal to the game or is it just randomly walking around fucking up other people's shit?

From the clips I've seen, it looks amusing as hell.

I played it. The novelty of hacking the city is cool and using your cell phone to hack into people's lives is cool too. But the story kind of sucks and the missions I found to be more difficult than necessary. And you don't get to fuck around GTA style that much because the cops are crazy.

Quick question for you PS4 owners:

I'm running out of hard drive space. I got a flash drive, and have copied my character specific information over to it. This amount is in MB, so it didn't really do much. Here's my question:

Can I uninstall games? I notice many of the games are like 30-40 gigs. If I do uninstall them, and I have the disk, I can reinstall them and upload my character info from my flash drive, correct?

    Thanks in advance.

You shouldnt have to back up your save files to uninstall, the process will prompt you if you also want to remove the save data separately. But its probably a good practice to do it anyway. You can do the backup to USB or the cloud if you have a PS+ subscription.

I'd also recommend buying a new hard drive. Sony makes it easy to just buy an internal laptop hard drive and install it. I did that with my PS and 4. You can get a decent 1 TB hard drive for under a hundred bucks and double your space.

Oh yes. I got Dishonoured 2 days ago for less than $10. Quite a fun game so far.

I've been scoping out some games already and probably have a couple hundred dollars worth of stuff I'm going to get.

    Chief on the list:

    Banner Saga
    Tales of Zestiria
    King's Quest

I'm on the fence about the Witcher series. I played a bit of the first game and enjoyed it somewhat. Just so repetitive - New area: Now collect 30 of this and twenty of that. Another new area - collect 10 of this and 15 of that. The battle system was a bit clunky too. Anyone have experience playing the later games? Did they experience a Mass Effect level of improvement from sequel to sequel?
