No less than 4 things concerning Lord of the Rings on that vehicle. I'm willing to bet that the green bumper sticker also has something to do with Lord of the Rings, although I can't see it clearly.

Absolutely no shame to their game.

It is. Look close, you can make out the two towers on either side of the photo.

AND a Penn State sticker. Talk about "no shame".

The space a thing was a complete bust. Also, my dad sent me a long email about being concerned with a 24 hour greyhound bus trip. He was afraid I would be robbed or raped. My parents talked about it and offered to buy me a ticket with their frequent flier miles. Holy shit, yes! I feel a little weird about it because I am an adult and married and moved away and thing like travel expenses are my responsibility now, but it was free for them. And I really, really want to come home for Christmas. I am so pumped to see everybody!

The only thing that could possibly go wrong now would be for some asshole at the airport to steal the macadamia nut candies or 100% kona coffee in my bag. Luckily it is in the very bottom of the biggest sea bag you've ever seen. I'm sneaky like that.

Reading through Facebook today with 90 percent of them being about the shooting this morning. Pretty sad stuff until I got to the one that a girl I know had posted, stating that the right to bear arms is a thing of the past and is no longer valid. Instead of 'bear', she spelled it 'bare', as in the right to bare arms is a thing of the past. Listen lady, I have every right to walk around with bare arms whenever I want, even in the winter if I choose. Nobody will take away my right to bare arms. I found it way too funny.

My husband and I have a bet going as to how long our neighbor will keep his ladder up from putting up his Christmas lights. I think it won't come down until February or so. This is the neighbor that has been building his deck for almost three years and doesn't even have railings yet. I don't even know if there's a floor. The funny thing is that the ladder leads right to a second story window. Like he's saying, "No please, rob ME!"

I spent the night making pasta salad and cookies to donate to my kids' swim meets tomorrow. However, I need to buy an extra bottle of Italian dressing as our dog is now big enough to grab the unopened one off the counter. That was a fun cleanup and a pleasant surprise when I went downstairs in the morning. As you can see, she was rather concerned about it:

Then this is the house in a neighborhood behind us:
It's hard to tell, but that's 19 blowup Christmas decorations (I counted). It's like he said, "I want to decorate for Christmas, but I really only want to plug stuff in." Every year he adds more stuff. He's running out of yard.

Maybe he'll appreciate the wind taking the ladder down right before it tomahawks his car in half and if you don't believe a ladder can do that you're wrong.

If I was a neighbour, my #1 Christmas gift choice would be a knife sharp enough to penetrate lawn blow-ups. I don't even care if they have kids, collateral fucking damage.

Those things are for people who don't think Branson, Missouri is tacky enough.

Seriously, it's like folks are out actually living life tonight instead of entertaining me on TiB. However, this Vicodin and youtube are keeping me somewhat occupied.

Some of you may have seen this on liveleak. However, for those of you that are hunters or are just into random cool shit will enjoy this. Skinning a deer using a golf ball and a pickup.

Damn it. Couldn't get the video to load in my last post. Here it is. I've seen this done before but never with a golf ball.

Hi. I'm online. Mostly because it's already 28 Celsius here and it's not even 8am yet. Fuck. I guess the lack of heat I mentioned a few days ago is here. Also, it's about 2/8ths cloud cover, which is not too bad - I expect it to be 7/8ths by 5pm though.

I'm also signed in to G+ so if anyone feels like talking nonsense, hit me up.

When I hink about it I don't blame people for not being in a humourous mood tonight. I was anxious until I saw my kid tonight. Not like me at all.

    Sorry. Something more pleasant:

I used to work on the sheep line in the abattoirs where I lived for a few months before I joined the Army and that's similar to how they skin all the sheep. A conveyor belt is going round continuously and they wrap the skin with a vee belt and hook the belt on the conveyor and it just rips it off.

I know it's fashionable for men of my age to say things like "bitches be crazy!" and think they're being funny when they're mostly being misogynistic.

But fuck, in my professional opinion, was that bitch ever crazy.

Yeah, I was just remembering my old geography classes in high school - we spent about 6 months on clouds, rain and erosion. We were always instructed to measure cloud cover in eighths.

Nope. Didn't you know fractions reduce differently in South Africa?

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Okta

Please note that it's measured in a scale of 0 for completely clear to 8 for completely overcast. I just couldn't remember what the measurement was called.

EDIT: I see there is an 9th Okta too for dense fog/obscured sky, but I don't think that's been used much here in Durban...
