Yeah, I want to give DC Universe a shot because 1. It's free. 2. The pay wall doesn't seem to be holding anything too epic back. BUT I tried to get on like 9pm on Monday, maybe 10pm CST and there was a wait to get online. I can't do that for a game that's not rocking my socks off especially since it takes 10 minutes for the damn game to open and load. Going to keep at it, just wish it had a better encyclopedia, I have no idea what my Red Soul Aura actually fucking does.

I played the demo for 007 Reloaded. If you enjoy the old school/nostalgia aspect go for it. After playing the next-gen FPSs thought it feels...stiff.

I bought this and I've since traded the game itself in. If you're only interested in the single player portion of the game, go for it. It's fun. If you want to play online, save your money. The PS3 version has not been patched since launch like the 360 version has. An online match with more than 4 or 5 players is a glitchy, laggy mess. The PS3 version also suffers from a random "network" error which may or may not prevent you from joining matches. There are times when I'd sit there for 10 minutes, not be given the chance to join a single match and then just quit and play Black Ops or something.

So I'm having a weird issue with Skyrim (ps3). I can't remember if there was an "adjust screen size" situation when I first got it, but after playing on a 40" tv, I just set my playstation up on a 60 inch and it looks like the display is the same size. There's 10 inches of black between the game and the edge of the TV on all sides, like the game is playing in a window or something. Is there any way to adjust it (like in Call of Duty) to make the game actually fill the entire screen, or is there some built in restriction keeping it from fitting on a TV bigger than 40 inches? Doesn't make any damn sense. I tried deleting and reinstalling game data just in case, still doesn't fill the whole screen. wtf.

There should be a a border adjustment of some sort in the options menus, though I forget the technical name for it.

I can tell you firsthand there is no TV size restriction, as I play Skyrim on a 56 inch TV. I would try the video settings in the options menu.

Sadly I'm a victim of the Markarth glitch, I hope Bethesda gets off their ass and patches this shit quickly.

I rented Skyrim and played it for a while. Got a few hours in, but just couldn't get that into it. I just think I missed the Elder Scrolls boat. I found myself wondering around, picking up a bunch of useless shit (I quickly weaned myself of that habit) and went on a few quests, but I guess I just didn't get into it.

The camera, even in 3rd person, also gave me kind of a headache.

I can see why people who have been playing the series for a long time are really into it, and it could just be that I wasn't in an RPG mood, but I really couldn't get into it.

Are there any Twisted Metal fans here?

The delay into 2012 and lack of coverage has me a little concerned about the quality of this title. However, I had a lot of fun with Twisted Metal Black and am hoping that Jaffe doesn't drop the ball with this one.

Guns and people constantly on the move....sign me up.

Dude I fucking love Twisted Metal and have been waiting since the E3 years ago. I must have spent hours on the rooftop level in the first and the shattering iceburg level in the second freezing people, timing it just right that they fell off the map and died. Jaffe knows how to make good games. Who ever they hired to do the into to that trailer does not know what their doing. Yes, Ill have it on release day.

I just stayed up late to finish the story of AC: Revelations. Wow, just...wow.

The way they seamlessly tied the storylines of Desmond, Altair, and Ezio together was impressive. And I really enjoyed the Desmond memories, which showed how he ended up a hostage at Abstergo in the first place. I got a chuckle out of the 4th puzzle and its rave/acid theme.
Next up to bat is Arkham City, with Dead Island on the on-deck circle.

I'm about 1/3 of the way through AC:Brotherhood. I'm loving it, but the ease of earning a ton of money in AC:2 has spoiled me. I have a crossbow and armor that's slightly more effective than a loincloth. Also, the "full synchronizations" are a pain in the ass. That said, the combat is much more challenging and enjoyable this time around. No more hidden blade X mashing one target at a time (and counter kills are fucking HARD to time).

Just from what I've played so far (mainly the emails on this note) I'm getting a feeling that the Assassin Order may not be as benevolent as they claim. I'm expecting a lot of "Holy shit" moments coming in this and Revelations

Fucking love Twisted Metal. Two things wrong with the trailer. It uses the same song Twisted Metal 3 used as the theme song, and TM3 was the WORST TM ever made. Don't get me wrong, the Soundtrack was perfect. You had to put in 3 "cheat codes" (one speeding the fucking game up) to make it remotely enjoyable. Also, no real actual gameplay, it'd be nice to see what the HUD looks like and how the game actually goes down sometime in the near future.

The delay isn't worrying me at all because its been Jaffe (and the same team) working on it. More time on the game the better. We're so used to yearly installments we forget how much better games are when they get the "Its done when its done" treatment.

Just started Skyrim. Too many games out, and too not enough free time to keep up with all the new games that are out. But i wish i would have started this earlier great game. Just found my first gaints outside whiterun, i see what everyone was talking about. One hit kill me almost every time, and most the time with the nice graphic gliches they have, i go flying higher then the mountains.

I just bought a game called Trine 2 off of Steam. It's a side scrolling puzzle game. You control 3 different characters that all have different skills that you use to accomplish your mission. The graphics are great. It has a 2 player co-op that is supposed to be really fun but I haven't gotten a chance to try that yet.

The first game is beautiful. Like I hear people talk about games that are "charming" and I think they're retarded. Trine is the definition of charming, fun, and a solid game. I need to beat the first one before playing the second one.

Quick skyrim enchanting questions. When i am disenchanting an item, some times it goes from a 15% bonus on the item, to a 12% enchantment, or sometimes it goes from 10% on an item, to a 15% enchantment skill. Does enchantment skill very this at all, or will it always be the the same, when you disenchant an item? I know the type of soul gem you use when you enchant makes a difference, just not sure if you enchanting skill makes a difference for disenchanting.

The Steam Holiday sale just started and given that Trine 2 is a recent release, there's a very good chance that Trine will be one of the daily deals.

Also Portal 2 is dirt cheap right now. Get it. They're releasing a point-and-click in-game editor some time early next year so the amount of content should skyrocket. Also, if you check your Steam inventory, you get a free gift. I can't confirm this right now, since Steam has exploded, but apparently for some it's a discount on all Valve games. Should work for Portal 2 as well.

Checking in with you other Skyrim players.

I'm at level 35, and invested heavily in sneak/archery. The archery perks are pretty awesome (I'm at 65), but I definitely notice as soon as I'm detected, and have to resort to close fighting, I'm pretty weak. I've finished the Thieves Guild stuff, doing Dark Brotherhood stuff. I haven't even met the guy in Solitude and gotten invited to the Thalmor embassy yet, because I've been doing other things.

I really haven't used many shouts, and have dragon souls to spare (I don't think I've even added one shout beyond what you get - I've learned a bunch of words, just haven't bothered to spend the souls to be able to use them).

Anyone using shouts a lot? Useful?

Also, anyone invested in enchanting? How's that working out?

Haven't used much in the way of spells yet, any mages out there?
