True. The vast majority of these people are soulless cash/power whores. Starting with your incoming VP.
If only there was a truly great leader who would just tell us who they are, and then kill all their opponents.
Fox news has called the race for Warnock, and says that it's too close to call with Ossoff and Perdue. What do y'all think the odds are that the Republicans take this with class and dignity?
RECOUNT. FRAUD. GEORGIA HAS ALWAYS BEEN CORRUPT. Meanwhile, mitch is about to be a minority leader. I can't stop smiling right now. Both of the republican candidates were horrible in Georgia, and what trump said about the election made it worse. They did this to themselves. If they had just taken the Biden "shut up and let it play out" route, I think both GOP candidates would have won today.
Never mind how Pence held off on making his "I'm not overturning the results for Trump" announcement until after the polls had closed.
He couldn’t have done that anyhow. The tweets later today when trump finally skewers the rest of the “disloyal” republicans will be delicious. The best thing the gop can do right now is accept these results with some sort of dignity and act like Trump never existed. A lot of people won’t forget this era of politics but Trump only has the power that the republicans allow him to have. Unless of course he has some serious dirt on a few of them. Ted Cruz and Lindsey Graham come to mind. Trump has singlehandedly destroyed their party. He trashed the chances in the Georgia runoff so that his “fraud” excuse and the blow to his ego are reduced. Had the gop succeeded last night while still voting Trump out, that hurts his delicate feefees more than a total sweep.
I think everyone but Trump and his hardcore base knew that, but Pence didn't want to say it out of fear of whatever GOP support they lent to Georgia was gone before they could vote, especially with their earlier warnings of "do Trump right or we're not voting". It's the timing of things, more than anything, that are laughably predictable.
Well yes there’s that but also it allows Biden to fill the seat on the dc circuit. I think he’s planning moves should Breyer retire off the Supreme Court.
https://www.politico.com/news/2021/01/05/donald-trump-election-challenge-455233 “The point is to still be relevant and still be talked about in the news,” said one of the people. “This is someone who’s been on Page Six of the New York Post for 40 years. He’s beyond embarrassment." “He 100 percent knows it’s not going to happen, and he is calling people and doing stuff,” said one of three people. “But all of this is about demonstrating to his loyal followers on Twitter and the people who give $5 and $20 and $50 a month that he is fighting to the bitter end.” Yup.
Newly elected Republican caught on tape saying Hitler was right. That's totally normal, right? https://twitter.com/always_margot/status/1346578062700400647
I’m sure there are some proud people who would agree. To be fair, all of Hitler’s angry, xenophobic diatribes that were recorded were always concluded with his famous tag line “....no offence.”
Minority leader Moscow Mitch just gave a speech saying that overturning the election results would irreparably damage the republic. It would have counted if he said it within a week of the November Election. Saying it now means as much as death row inmate asking god for forgiveness just after the Governor denies their last appeal at 11:55
I’m seeing video of masses of Trump supporters storming the capital. Supposedly the building has been locked down and people are being told to stay away from windows.
