There's a lot of bullshit coming from the mouths of elected leaders the last couple of days regarding various forms of punishment for people being critical of Charlie Kirk. Are people who get fired from government jobs protected by the first amendment in these cases? I know that theres a lot of bad info regarding the first amendment when it comes to whats allowed to happen to someone for speaking out. Losing your job is not a violation, as you aren't being deprived of your liberty. But if you get punished by a governmental authority for legal speech, is that a violation? A lot of people are losing their jobs the last few days for simply stating the things that Kirk routinely said to peoples' faces. I guess I just don't understand why so many people and groups want to die on the Charlie Kirk hill. He was a fucking dipshit.
My wife's uncle posted an artistic photo of Kirk, Jesus and obviously Trump superimposed on rock like Mt. Rushmore, but took it down after being mocked mercilessly and openly by his three sons. Funny shit.
He’s the same hayseed dumbass from the classic clip below. So of COURSE they elected him to Congress— he held a gun in a video. I love how so many American think this goofy horseshit is cool, and to the rest of us it’s like a MAD TV sketch— only pathetic instead of funny. ….I also love how his slumped, frail and stupid body can barely hold up the gear he’s wearing. Probably because it’s somebody else’s.
Here's the Chairman of the FCC threatening to revoke the broadcast license of ABC because they put Jimmy Kimmel on the air: https://bsky.app/profile/thebulwark.com/post/3lz2kciqfhs2c Here's ABC less than 24 hours later pulling Kimmel off the air: https://www.vulture.com/article/abc-pulls-jimmy-kimmel-live-from-the-air-indefinitely.html Here's the monologue they are pretending to be so thoroughly offended by:
Spoiler There is no legal mechanism whatosever to designate any domestic organization a terrorist organization. Antifa is not an organization. So yeah, this feels less like actual presidential action, and more like a "lets bomb a boat in the Caribbean because we say so" for domestic opposition.
My vinyl collection needs Trent Reznor to finally release the definitive version of “Year Zero.” I want the soundtrack to suit the collapse of the republic.
