Nothing like kicking off the 2025 season with a player getting tossed before the first snap because he just couldn't resist spitting on the quarterback. What a dipshit.
I wasn't even gonna bother turning the game on, which surprised my wife, but I did figuring it'd be background noise. It ended up getting my attention, the first quarter anyway.
I watched bits and pieces of the game. Pretty sure that will be it for me for the season unless the 49ers show something special. Otherwise the College and High School rules are much more what I want to see football played.
Perhaps picking both Xavier Worthy and Travis Kelce for my fantasy league team wasn’t the best decision.
No way to predict injuries. The roster you start out with rarely looks like the roster you end with. Mainly because of injuries. Love Kelce but he's not the player he used to be. I'd be surprised if he had a big year.
I’m only doing it because our sons asked me to. There’s no money riding on it so it doesn’t really mean anything. In hindsight in should have picked as many of my team ( Bills ) as possible and let it ride.
Oh sure, kick me when I'm down. They made Daniel Jones look like an actual functioning quarterback. I knew they had probably the worst secondary in the league, but holy shit that was terrible.
Damn that game was insane. Congrats Bills, Josh Allen played out of mind. Ravens were great too, but couldn't close it out.
I mean, the secondary was bad but I think the more concerning thing is the fact that your franchise quarterback turned it over 3 times, including one absolutely baffling pick, and even when he was completing passes he threw for 5 freakin' yards per attempt. The Bills game was madness. The Ravens looked like they were casually executing whatever they wanted, but Josh Allen was countering it through sheer force of will.
I went to bed at 10:30, mostly because I have to be up for work at 5am but also because I'd seen enough. The Bill's defense wasn't getting the job done and the offense kept trying the same plays that obviously weren't working. Then I woke up to find out they finally let Josh put his cape on and they got it done.
Some of the numbers from last night's game are wild. That was the 1st time in history a team scored at least 40 points and rushed for over 235 yards and still lost.
I am picking Baltimore to win it all this year, and I'm hopeful the defense gels as the year progresses so that kind of shit never happens. What a wild fucking game....Lamar Jackson has every right to be pissed, Jesus Christ. Also, can we go ahead and call Tyreek Hill getting traded back to KC or to a contender in 3-5 weeks? Either that, or Miami's coach is fired by week 7. Somehow, KC didn't solve any of their issues....again. I still am shocked the Chargers didn't...y'know...Charger that one away. I'm a GB fan, and like....this is as good a shot as they've had since Rodgers left. I feel like the Lions will solve their Goff issues, so GB got away with one Week 1, but....Parsons is only going to get better as he spends time with this defense. Glad football is back.
I’m a Giants fan. I’m not as glad as you are. The Giants suck, and have no functioning offensive line, for like the 13th or 14th year in a row. It will be nice to have my Sundays free.
I mean, Buffalo scored on 3 of their 5 possessions in the first half and it was a 1 score game. The offense was okay. The defense definitely failed, though. In the second half, the Ravens went 65 yards on 4 plays, 68 yards on 3 plays, and 65 yards on 4 plays again. Just a stunning inability to control the game.
Okay good point. In the moment it felt like they were trying the same thing over and over again with Cook and it wasn’t working. But you’re right.
