    If you know me, you know I pimp Los like it's my job. I'm not even from Baltimore, I just know he takes tracks and does bad, bad things to them. Start with the A Milli, it's the one that made me a believer. Spazzes out starting around the minute mark.

    Not nearly his best, but among his recent ones, so:

    Oh yeah, this is like 5 years ago. 5 YEARS AGO:

    Diddy signed him after this, which explains why he still doesn't have a major label debut, I guess.

    I've been listening to some older stuff lately and this is the shit. Eazy-E tears shit up and the DOC's part at the end is crazy.

    I thought this was a cool track;

    As a bonus, it's probably the only rap song ever made to mention the Colecovision.

    Here's some more old school rap. I couldn't find "Scarface Groove" which is great, but this rocks hard.

    If you like him, check out Rock from Heltah Skeltah. He has that same crazy baritone. His peak was definitely on Heltah Skeltah's first album "Nocturnal" Incredible album, and his tag team partner, Sean Price, kicks some serious shit on the daily too.

    Some old school grouch and other stuff by the living legends. Found some old CD's and these songs were on them.

    And just for good measure

    So apparently, Australia has a group of rappers called the "Hilltop Hoods" who sing with ridiculously harsh Aussie accents (I cracked up laughing when I first heard them), but sound surprisingly good;

    They're probably a famous group I am ignorant for not hearing of, but damn, I'm pretty impressed.

    Tom Hanks' son is a rapper. Best summed up by the best-rated comment "Weren't you in a Bratz movie?"

    Does anyone know a site that does mixtape reviews? I follow nahright.com to keep up to date with the hip hop world but nowadays there is some artist dropping a mixtape every day. To listen to the sheer quantity of it is impossible without giving up listening to pretty much every other kind of music. There are album review sites aplenty, and many otf those sites cover mixtapes too but generally they focus on mixtapes by major artists. Anyone have some guidance to offer?

    Slaughterhouse dropped a new EP and, of course, it is fire. Production is mediocre, but with Slaughterhouse, you know you're there for the lyricism. Their first album was unbelievable and, if this EP contains tracks that didn't make their upcoming second album, I am very exciting to see what they have in store for the 2nd album. Plus, they have the muscle of Shady behind them now, so I think we'll see a more polished product. Royce da 5'9" has to be the most underrated rapper ever. Dude is ridiculous. I can't begin to understand why he hasn't become a megastar.

    Favorite track off it as of now:

    Seriously, fuck you Chet Haze. You are the son of Tom Hanks, one of the most suburban and All American actors ever, you grew up in extremely wealth and you go to fucking Northwestern, where you may try to relate to being minority cause you are not Asian or Indian. You are the farthest thing from hard and you referenced sipping on Long Island's in "White and Purple" which makes you a pussy. You are pathetic and Joaquin Phoenix was more amusing than you in the rap game.

    On to more positive things. Brenton Duvall has been doing CRAZY shit in the remix game. His Wiz Khalifa/Taylor Swift remix was hot as hell and this one is no different. Ellie Goulding's stuff gets remixed like mad, but this is probably my favorite. Wale's verse is great and I love his ending...

    Check out datpiff.com. Its easy to tell which mixtapes are hot through out the month and they're all free.

    Great beat by Kanye West for Consequences new mixtape, which dropped today.

    Elton John was interviewed in the latest issue of Rolling Stone. In it he was asked about helping Eminem with sobriety.
