Wiz finally has a video for "In The Cut." It's my favorite track off K&OJ, and one of my top 5 favorite tracks of his. I defy you to blast this and not feel like having an awesome time.

Rhyme Aslyum. British underground group, I don't like a lot of hip-hop/rap but I can have this CD on repeat the whole day. They have their whole album on their youtube channel if you want to give it a listen. They write some dark lyrics, but I really like their word play.

Can't wait to hit up his concert in October when he rolls into Scottsdale.

His mixtape prior to Kush & OJ, Burn After Rolling, was one of the best I've ever listened to.

Wanted to make a quick pitstop and plug Big Sean's Finally Famous Vol. 3: BIG mixtape. I only recently listened to his first Finally Famous mixtape and while I found it enjoyable it didn't really blow me away either. I wasn't even sure I would check out this tape. I'm glad I did. He has much better production on it and his flow has really come together. Give it a listen.

Meanwhile, they give Gucci Mane's latest abortion an 8.2.

This is what we in the internet community call "trolling".

Oh christ this is special. They describe Gucci's flow as "nimble rap acrobatics." Since when is mumbling everything at different volumes nimble or acrobatic in any way at all? Fucking idiots.

Kno from Cunninlynguists has a solo album coming out in less than a month. I've seen Cunninlyguists live a handful of times, and they're one of maybe three hip hop groups I've seen that perform well live. As far as production goes, he's top tier in my opinion, and the lyrics from Kno and Deacon and the whole QN5 crew have always been fresh. This is the single that they leaked, and it's pretty good, looking forward to hearing the whole thing. If you like the style here's the link to the label, some of the best southern underground. http://www.qn5.com

Just a quick plug for Kno's remix of Jay-Z's The Black Album, entitled Kno vs. Hov: The White Albulum:

Dooooope. Snoop around and you'll be able to find it. If you can't shoot me a rep/PM.

My friend just pointed out to me that he might be coming to my school in November. I can't wait to see him live. The only reason I can't listen to BAR more is because of those stupid DJs putting their stamp on every. fucking. track. It's so annoying it actually detracts from the album a bit.

And to all you Curren$y haters, check out this track. Try and tell me his verse doesn't go hard.

Shad is probably one of the most under-appreciated rappers out there right now. He's an amazing lyricist and equally as talented at rapping. I'd definitely recommend checking out his newest album TSOL. Here's a couple of my favorite tracks.

Das Racist. You'll either like them, or you won't. Or you'll think they're okay.

*Note: They're trying to be ironic, for the most part.

The Roots album with John Legend dropped today. Any Roots album is an event in itself. I'm interested to see what kind of flavor John Legend adds. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up in case they didn't know.

Fantastic song by a great GrindTime battle rapper. I loved his style during a lot of his battles and his music is just as good. Can check out more of his stuff at dumbfoundead.com (all free).
