Not MLB, but... Perhaps some of you saw the college game in which the ump made a questionable strike two call. Then, after the batter called him on it, a retaliatory strike three call on the next pitch to end the game. He got suspended, thankfully. If I was the AD, or whatever, hiring umps for those games, that ump would be done, forever. Never let him work another game, ever. It is hard to find officials for youth sports, it is NOT hard to find pro umpires.
I think people's expectations of officials are too high at most levels of school and youth ball. I just expect a fairly called game, not a mistake-free game. I wish more parents thought that way and passed it onto their kids.
Right now citizens in that country are rationing gasoline and electricity daily while the tourists who mix with them directly get the royal treatment. Dire straits, thank god they at least FINALLY got rid of their fake tourist currency. We used to go there, Cuba is an amazing place but Wifey and I refuse to vacation there now because we didn’t want to contribute to keeping resort lights on when everyone else has it so bad. Mayan Riviera didn’t feel like it was corroding our souls by vacationing there.

Considering how the WBC went this year, is it wrong to start considering widening the MLB to include Japan?
